Brian Erden founded ERDEN in 2016 to conceptualize, design and weave pieces from a technical viewpoint, as opposed to a purely graphic one. As a life student of textiles and fiber, he focuses on how and with what material a piece is constructed; the realized graphic is either incidental or demonstrative. He lives in Chicago and Nepal.

ERDEN’s driving mission is to find exotic materials from their source countries, weave them into textiles for the floor and home in technically exciting and intellectually informed ways, and continue experimenting with new processes.   Recent innovations include a patented process for embedding bronze and brass pieces and five exclusive ERDEN-designed and produced yarn structures.
