On our inaugural monthly DLF Working Group Call with Dr. Kendall Nicholson, we discussed how the Design Leadership Foundation wants to help students of color in accredited architecture and design programs feel a sense of belonging by connecting them to a larger network of over 600 design leaders, i.e. the Design Leadership Network and how we can properly create a shared language and framework to move this goal forward. Dr. Kendall Nicholson outlined what these monthly calls will cover including understanding equity and how it relates to architecture, truly understanding the problems of our history and systems, and what success looks like in this mentorship program. For more details on these topics watch the video and begin to see how we can make magic by bringing in other voices. The DLF Working Group call takes place on the 2nd Thursday of each month at 4:00PM ET.
