It was a packed week in Paris last week, where over 70 DLN Members converged to take in the installations, events, and collection launches at Paris DecoOff and Maison&Objet. Couldn’t make it (or simply couldn’t get to every showroom)? We’ve recapped the highlights from DLN Members and Partners below.
- Lisa Staprans launched her debut book, Soul of Design, with a buzzy brunch at La Palette in St. Germain des Prés.
- Peti Lau transformed Benjamin Moore’s booth at Maison&Objet into a globally-influenced lounge that highlight’s the company’s 2024 color trends.
- Marmi’s second-annual pop-up displayed sculptural bath fixtures alongside modern takes on églomisé by London-based Sterling Studios.
- Timothy Corrigan unveiled a wide-ranging trim collection for Samuel & Sons, with fringes, tassels, and more influenced by his own French homes (which served as setting to a small press launch and a city fête throughout the week).
- Fabricut launched new collections by DLN Members Kendall Wilkinson and Denise McGaha.
- Jiun Ho and Workshop Collection, the new furniture venture from Workshop/APD cohosted with Le Manufacture Cogolin an festive dinner at the Fondation Louis Vuitton, where guests were treated to a private viewing of the buzzy Rothko show.
- Jiun Ho also organized a pop-up space where his fabrics and furniture were on display alongside wallpaper by Caroline Lizarragga and Sarah von Dreele, plus textiles from Parete.
- Pierre Frey launched several new collections comprising Japanese-inspired prints, furniture, lighting in collaboration with Super Modular, and a new issue of the Natecru line. The company also unveiled its newly-renovated headquarters at a smash party on Saturday—but what a few lucky members buzzed most about was an invitation to view Marie Antoinette’s chambers at Versailles, done up in Braquenié.
- Phillip Jeffries celebrated the launch of a brand new Paris showroom at 28 Rue Jacob, officially launching this Spring.
- Clarence House unveiled its newest line, Indochine, which celebrates the wide-reaching influence of 18th-century Asia.
- Sanderson Design Group unveiled launches from Giles Deacon, Morris & Co., Zoffany, and more, with several exciting archival references dropping in March.
- Kravet presented new releases across its many brands from the posh Hotel Lutetia, with a standout being Kit Kemp’s new line for Lee Jofa.
- Romo unveiled new launches to press at Le Meurice, including the Icons line from Zinc, inspired by Andy Warhol’s eclectic group of artist friends.
- Vaughan showed its latest at the home of its Parisian partner, trade showroom IDO.
- Laurence Carr spoke on sustainability in design at Maison&Objet on Friday.
- Kathryn M. Ireland hosted a book signing in celebration of 25 years in business at a popup showroom in St. Germain.
- Holland & Sherry toasted its newest Scottish-inspired collection, Highland Fling, with a “whisky” tasting for designers and friends.
- Cowtan & Tout released new patterns from Larsen and Manuel Canovas.
- Loro Piana Interiors took over an apartment on Rue des Saints Pères to showcase the latest in its furniture and textiles.
- Perennials and Sutherland unveiled their latest home launches in the Passage Saint-Sulpice.
- Rubelli debuted its 2024 collection at the Centre Culturel de Crous de Paris.
- Members convened for a festive dinner at Le Grand Colbert and a long lunch at Ralph Lauren’s iconic Ralph’s Restaurant.
- Members mingled with the featured furniture, lighting, and product designers at Theoreme Editions, a Parisian gallery championing rising talent.
- Over 20 Members visited Maison&Objet for a VIP tour and a day filled with valuable sourcing.
- Several Members ventured out to the Puces to shop antiques, art, and accessories at Paul Bert and Serpette–and returned with much fuller suitcases.
