The Design Leadership Network is delighted to announce that Hadley Keller has joined the DLN as Director of Editorial & Community Engagement. Hadley is a longtime design writer and editor who most recently served as the Digital Director at House Beautiful, the nation’s oldest continuously-published shelter magazine, where she oversaw all digital content as well as brand franchises including the Next Wave list of on-the-rise designers. Before that, she worked at Architectural Digest as a market editor, design writer, and, finally, the founding editor of AD PRO.

At the DLN, Hadley will oversee all editorial initiatives, both in print and online, and launch new franchises that harness the power of storytelling to bring the DLN community together around shared interests and goals, from developing leadership capacity to sustaining a growing business and beyond. As part of her work, she will help develop first-in-class public platforms, in the spirit of HIVE and Travel by Design, that give members and partners a chance to tell their inspiring stories, share their beautiful work, and make new connections within the broader design-industry dialogue.

“Hadley brings to the DLN a community-oriented approach built on years of editorial experience that has seen her champion designers, support industry partners, and build community with unique energy and zeal,” says the DLN’s Executive Director & COO, Michael Diaz-Griffith. “At the DLN, I am focused on building a world-class team to support our members and partners, and I know that Hadley will bring enormous value not only to our organization but to everyone in our community. Many of you know her already, but for those who do not, I am excited for you to meet! Please give Hadley a warm welcome as she joins the team.”

“The most rewarding part of my ten years in the design industry has been championing the work of creatives through storytelling and connection, so I am incredibly excited to join an organization that does both so well,” says Hadley. “I am thrilled to be joining Michael, Peter Sallick, and the team to help chart the next phase for the DLN. As the world and industry changes, we have more opportunities than ever to provide talented designers and brand partners with tools to grow their businesses, connections to expand their reach, and opportunities to engage with a broader cultural and industry context.”

Hadley splits her time between New York City and Washington D.C., where she sits on the board of the Oasis Alliance, a nonprofit providing pro-bono design service to trauma survivors, and is a member of the White House Historic Association’s Next Gen Leaders cohort. She is a frequent speaker at design industry events and published her first design book with Vendome in 2021.
